Many of the saltwater flies I tie are based on the same principles and
ideas of "fleyes" that were developed by friend, mentor, and master
fly innovator Bob Popovics. Their design is the result of numerous
hours of watching, listening, photographing, and exchanging ideas
with Popovics before, during and after meetings of the Atlantic
Saltwater Flyrodders in New Jersey.
